We are in the home stretch here people... Only 11 days left here in Toronto. It is all about packing, cleaning, and doing last minute fun Toronto-ish things.
Our holiday plans are set and our tickets to Malta are officially booked! We are going to be able to enjoy Christmas in both Pittsburgh and Memphis while we are in the States. On New Years Eve the next leg of this journey officially begins. At midnight we will be somewhere between Dallas and Paris ringing in 2012.
A bonus of traveling on New Years Eve/Day is that Dan and I have a 12 hour layover in Paris from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. We are so excited to be able to explore the sights of Paris for a few hours on New Years Day. A definite added plus of this crazy trip.
Mike, Laura and Ben are also flying over NYE/D and we will all be reunited in Malta on NYD. Coincidentally, Laura's birthday is January 2nd, so we are all there just in time to have a belated New Years celebration combined with a birthday party. So much to celebrate!
While I am sad to be leaving Toronto, I am very very excited to see our next stop and explore all of the places and things in Malta as we did during our first month or so here. I will definitely miss the St. Lawrence Market, our cute and cozy apartment, the hustle and bustle of the city, and the proximity to the States. Malta should be a great experience with many new ways of life, and I am excited for us to get to experience that.
Other than that not too much is new here. We are trying to use up all of the spices and ingredients I have accumulated over the last 6 months so my meals are much less inspired, but definitely inventive. :) I have been meeting up with Laura to get coffee almost daily so we can discuss houses in Malta and just get away from the packing.
