Bachelor Pad 2: Finale Recap

So much happened in the 3 hour finale last night! Let's start at the beginning... (Again, 3 hours! Did I really sit there for 3 whole hours and watch this mess? Thank goodness the series is over and I can get my nights back on Mondays. Or at least not focus on the same thing for 3 entire hours!)

The challenge at Ka in Vegas was insane. I am scared of heights, so that wall looked pretty intimidating even on TV. I thought Holly and Michael's was the cutest routine. It's crazy to me that they can seem like such a couple when they aren't. More on that later.

Kasey sounds like a self-help tape on repeat: "I am great. We are awesome. We are going to win. Just take it! I am so amazing and Vienna is perfect. Go team."

It was tough to see Ella go home, but their stories were becoming a lot to handle. I guess I am just worn out by this show. :)  I was a little shocked when Ella went home since I had recently seen an interview where she had major plastic surgery, including a new face and multiple area lipo. Guess that house wasn't at the top of her list to purchase?

Michael and Holly got to choose which couple of the last 2 would be going to the finale- Vienna & Kasey or Graham and Michelle. I think they definitely approached their decision in the right way- which team would give them the best chance to win. I also think they made the best decision b/c of their character. It was hard to imagine Michael going back on his friendship with Graham. Either way, I think Holly & Michael had the best chance to win. I am glad they didn't have to be shady in their quest for the money. I also felt the same way about the keep or split end challenge with the money. I couldn't see Michael really choosing Keep, but I definitely wouldn't have held it against him :)

On to the reunion:

Ok, we never heard from Ella and Kurt. Never. They didn't say a word about their game or losing. I was shocked. Oh, and let's not talk about Ella's new face. It's not obvious, right?! Wrong! Who was that girl sitting there? And why did she look so sad :(

Jackie & Ames situation was awkward. It seems like Jackie still doesn't have any answers and that Ames really meant but couldn't say, "I thought I was going to be the next bachelor if I was single." That plan didn't work out. Maybe they will give it another try...oh wait, Jackie admitted to staying in bed for a week over the breakup. Ames looked a bit scared. Just saying...

Big issue I had with the reunion/ABC/Mike Fleiss/Chris Harrison: the way they treated Michael. I should have expected that they would do something like that after the way they made Jason break up with Deanna on TV or the interview Jake and Vienna had or even Emily and Brad. They love ratings! I think it's just skeezy. Michael was the nicest guy and didn't deserve to hear it like that. I could go on and on about how terrible I think it was, but I won't. Bottom line- have some class ABC. Quit with the negative surprises.

I am concerned about Holly and Blake. It seemed like on more than one occasion that Holly and Michael were so in sync, even on the reunion show. They seem so together and like they have a great relationship. It's a little weird for Blake to see, I am sure, but let's see if those two do get to the altar. TV Wedding anyone? ABC footing the bill. Most likely.

Oh and let's not leave out Vienna and Kasey. What was Vienna trying to do in the beginning? Did she think we didn't watch the show? Did she think she was really being nice to Jake. What?! Delusional! And Kasey's interview was not surprising at all. It must take a toll on a (fake) relationship to see all of those (fake) fights replayed over and over (which you probably paid them to do.) I love how they have been interviewed many times since the show started airing and it's been nothing but love and smiles and moving in together. They were at each others throats from episode one. I can't be the only one who saw through this (fake/made for TV) relationship. But Kasey is just so sad. He may never be happy again. Ohhh, I am sure if ABC offers you and Vienna a spin off show to live together you'd perk right up. You can call it "Guard and Protect this House." Uhhhh! So glad they didn't win the money.

So all in all I am super excited that train wreck is over. I love love love Graham and Michelle together and the positive influence they've been on each other. It's really sweet that Graham was able to be there for Michelle through everything. Almost like that relationship was brought together for a reason. I hope they work out in the long run.

Ben being the new bachelor is O.K. Not a season I am dying to watch, but who knows. He seems so quiet and bland. Wonder what crazy girls they will have to put together to spice that season up. Mike Fleiss is already scripting it, I am sure.

Hope everyone enjoyed the finale. Any comments, thoughts, etc.? Leave them in the 'comments' section!

And in my best Chris Harrison voice, "Ladies, Gentleman, this is the final post."
