Sunday Funday

On the weekends we've been noticing that the people of Toronto love love love to spend their Sunday's enjoy the outdoors, sitting in a cafe with their iced coffees, and people watching all day long. It seems to me to be exactly what Sunday's were meant for.

So in a effort to join the crowd, Dan and I ventured out for a late breakfast today. We found a 'breakfast institution' right near our house and decided to give it a try. It's called the Avenue Diner, and it has been in Toronto since 1944. Apparently everyone eats there when they are in town. You can see their famous visitors from the autographed pictures hanging on the wall.

It was a cute little spot that was smaller than I had imagined, but it was an old-style quaint diner. We never eat real breakfast- like eggs, waffles, etc. Our breakfasts mostly consist of cereal or we just go straight for lunch, so today was a nice change. The people watching was minimal as well since it was a small space, but we sat and the counter and enjoyed our morning outing!

Avenue Diner

So much food! But it was totally worth it!

I really can't believe I have just blogged about eggs and a diner, but it was such a cute place and the food was exactly what we were looking for. We did not see any celebs- apart from their photos- but it is another place I have added to my Film Festival watch list.

We are rooting on the USA today in the final soccer match of the World Cup.

Enjoy your Sunday!
