Last night, Dan suggested a little impromptu date night to the Blue Jays game. Going to a baseball game has been on our to-do list since we got here, and we finally were able to go and enjoy a great night out at the ball park.
The Jays were playing the Boston Red Sox so we weren't expecting too much...but we turned out to be wrong! The night before, the Jays lost to the Sox 13-1 or something crazy, but last night they ended up pulling out a win in the bottom of the 8th inning.
We originally went to the stadium and bought cheap tickets in the upper deck from scalpers and sat above home plate. They were good seats and it was a great night. Well in the end of the 7th inning we walked down to the main concourse since the Jays were losing 6-8. There really wasn't a win in sight so we were going to head home.
When we got to the bottom of the ramp to the main level, the guards were gone so we walked into the lower concourse seats for a look at the score before we left. The top of the 8th inning came to an end and we stopped to watch a few pitches. It turned into an amazing 5 run inning and the Jays ended up winning! We were so happy we stayed and saw such a great end to the game. Great date night!
Today, the housekeeper was here this afternoon so we had to head out for a while. We went to get lunch around the corner and happened upon a large group of people staring at a parking garage. Apparently, Bono is staying at the hotel Hazelton Residence around the corner and all of the paparazzi were waiting to catch a picture of him leaving the hotel.
The foot traffic in our neighborhood has tripled easily. There are 4 times the cars on the road slowly driving past the Whole Foods to try to catch a glimpse of someone famous walking in or out. Film Fest starts tonight and the city is going crazy. We will definitely be out and about a lot this weekend to see if we can see anyone. Exciting!
Until tomorrow...hopefully with some celeb sightings....xo
