Today we woke up to a beautiful sunny day and decided to start off right. We went for a 3 mile jog through the city and around Queen's Park. It was a very welcome change from the daily trip to the fitness room in the building. The weather is beautiful and we were ready to enjoy some of the sunshine!
One thing I have noticed since we've been here is that Canadians never have a day off! When we moved in on July 1st it was Canada Day- their version of the 4th of July. We were still able to get a cable guy here to set up the TV and internet. Then last Sunday, when we were walking around we noticed that all of the shops and stores were open! Now today during our run I saw garbage men, construction teams, everyone out working! The phone guy will be here tomorrow, Sunday, with no questions asked and no charges for working on a Sunday! Crazy Canadians!
The rest of the day is sort of planned- we are thinking about a round or two of mini golf with Mike & Laura and possibly dinner. Nice little Saturday!
Next week I am on a new mission. How I have not seen a celebrity yet in this city is beyond me since apparently everyone and their girlfriend are in Toronto! Just this week Toronto has hosted Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen, Kate Beckinsale, Justin Timberlake and Jessical Biel. Rob Pattinson is filming Cosmopolis in the city. Kate Beckinsale is also filming a movie. People.com has clearly kept me up to date on the people I have been missing. So next week I may just have to "explore" more of the city and see where they keep their movie sets :)
