Eaton Centre

Every other Thursday our landlord has a housekeeper scheduled to come clean our house. If you know me, you know that I am obsessive compulsive about keeping our house clean so it's a bit unnecessary. However, the landlord has been using this lady for over 6 years, and I think it's more of a courtesy and a way for her to get a 'checkup' on how we are treating her home. So I get it.

So on these Thursday mornings, Dan and I get up and leave the house for a few hours so she can do her thing. We use this time as a way to see things in the city or to run errands we need to do together- mostly errands that Dan needs to do like get a haircut or go to the bank.

Today it is cloudy and rainy so we ventured downtown to the Eaton Center. It is a huge indoor shopping center- basically a big mall. There are three levels of stores and restaurants- over 230 retailers. It's a pretty popular tourist stop so we felt it was necessary to check out. Glad we had a rainy day to see it! There were so many stores and things to see we could have stayed all day.

We looked through a bunch of stores, walked around and enjoyed the business of the downtown center. There are people everywhere enjoying the different stores around the center as well. The Hard Rock Cafe is right across the street. The subways and street cars all stop right here too, so it's a busy place to be!

After browsing we were going to walk back, but it was pouring so we stopped for lunch to kill some time til the storm passed. We had lunch at Chipotle- which we never eat, but we love it so we had to have it this afternoon!

Amazing burrito from Chipotle

After lunch we made the 2 mile or so walk home and have been enjoying a rainy day inside. Dan is busy at work and I am prepping dinner. Always about the food :)

Hope everyone had a great Thursday!
