Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to y'all! Hope everyone had a great day filled with candy and costumes. They do celebrate Halloween here in Canada, but sadly ours do not involve costumes or candy.

Apparently in apartment buildings it is frowned upon to go door to door to trick or treat, so the concierges keep bowls of candy that you want to 'donate' at their desk and kids can go there for the goods.

We live in a building with maybe just one or two children so there is not a candy bar to be seen. But with all of the Universities in this city we have seen our fair share of costumes at all hours of the day and night since Wednesday.

We did have a little 'family' Halloween yesterday at our place to watch the Steelers game. Mike, Laura and Ben came over to enjoy the game, have some amazing soup that Laura made, and play cards. It was a nice little Sunday. My little veggie skeleton is as Halloween-y as we got this year though.

And our little group has become  like a family for sure. We are all set to have an American Thanksgiving here together as well. Crazy to think that in less than 2 months we will all be different places around the globe :(

Other than the holiday and watching a crazy amount of sports- Cardinals World Series, ND game, Steelers, Penguins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs- we haven't been up to much of anything. Still trying to figure out what we are going to do in January. We are terrible decision makers :)

That's about it. Hope everyone has a great night. And if you don't want to check the blog for updates, you can subscribe and have them emailed to you each day. Check out the right column of the blog.

Until tomorrow..xo
